Peru is the world’s leading exporter of quinoa and blueberries

Peru is now the first world exporter of quinoa due to the policy of diversification of the destination markets, said the Minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism, Edgar Vásquez.

He mentioned that we have multiplied seven times our exports with added value compared to some years ago by the diversity of products and destinations.

Thus, he continued, despite the global scenario and the contraction of mineral exports, our non-traditional exports reached a record high after adding 13,791 million dollars, representing 30% of total shipments from Peru.

Engineer Adrian Poblete, CEO of Inca Health said that thanks to the procedures performed, quinoa crops will not be affected by the rains and by 2020 he plans to continue leading the foreign market.
