In the framework of the celebration for the regional quinoa day, the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation, through the Regional Agrarian Committee formed by the Regional Agricultural Directorate, AGRO RURAL and other agencies attached to the sector, successfully held the “Fiesta de la Quinoa ”, with the exhibition and tasting of stews based on this Andean product.

The Regional Government of Puno, through Regional Ordinance No. 13-2012-GRP-CRP, declared the Andean grain of regional interest: Quinoa and established that on March 20 of each year the “Regional Quinoa Day” be commemorated.
